Villa Moscheni, Volpi

Il complesso è costituito dal corpo padronale affiancato dalle due barchesse e circondato dal parco. Attraverso la documentazione archivistica gli studiosi hanno potuto datare il complesso ai primi anni del XVIII secolo. È stato aggiunto successivamente un corpo minore che collega la barchessa di sinistra ad un rustico. Nel 1740 Francesco e Zuane Antonio Moscheni effettuano la prima denuncia al fisco. Risale al 1750 la prima visione iconografica realizzata da Francesco Costa. I vari restauri effettuati nel corso dei secoli non sono stati invasivi e hanno permesso di preservare l’edificio il più possibile simile all’origine. Nel ‘900 sono stati effettuati dei restauri interni che hanno riportato alla luce una serie di affreschi nel salone d'entrata con scene raffiguranti il periodo in cui la serenissima combatteva per mare contro i turchi.
La villa è stata soggetta a molti passaggi di proprietà, dai Moscheni ai Dal Bene ai Reali. Nel XX secolo sono passate all’architetto Gianfranco Baldan la villa e la barchessa collocata ad occidente, mentre la seconda barchessa è stata suddivisa in unità abitative.

The complex consists of the main body flanked by the two barchesse and surrounded by the park. Through archival documentation, scholars have been able to date the complex to the early 18th century. A smaller body was subsequently added that connects the barchessa on the left to a rustic. In 1740 Francesco and Zuane Antonio Moscheni made the first report to the tax authorities. The first iconographic vision created by Francesco Costa dates back to 1750. The various restorations carried out over the centuries have not been invasive and have made it possible to preserve the building as similar as possible to its origin. In the 1900s, internal restorations were carried out which brought to light a series of frescoes in the entrance hall with scenes depicting the period in which the serenissima fought at sea against the Turks.
The villa has undergone many changes of ownership, from Moscheni to Dal Bene to the Reali. In the twentieth century, the villa and barchessa located to the west passed to the architect Gianfranco Baldan, while the second barchessa was divided into residential units.
